Subscribed to feed, became a fan (but have always been a fan of you;)), favorite side dish – all of them! I truly can’t pick a favorite because I love the whole Thanksgiving feast, but if I have too, in order to stay true to myself I’d have to say, mashed potatoes with gravy (all from scratch). Obviously, wash and peel potatoes, cut into big chunks. Boil until soft. Drain water. Whip potatoes with mixer adding milk or cream until desired consistency. For the gravy, in a sauce pan, add drippings from turkey, discarding any solids, milk and a couple of TBSP of flour (just enough to thicken). Stir over medium heat until boiling and desired thickness achieved.
